Windows Phone 7 New Hardware Features – UI Guide
The UI Design and Interaction Guide for Windows Phone 7 2.0 was released this week containing Microsoft’s user interface guidelines for developers when creating their apps for Windows Phone 7. It also details many of the built-in UI elements and features of WP7, and whether or not developers can interact with these elements and features within their applications.
On the Last Page of this guide – in the Miscellaneous Page, Microsoft highlighted some Hardware features not previously mentioned:
- Bluetooth
- Camera flash
- Camera LED
- Micro SD (Won’t be user replaceable)
- Micro USB
- Wi-fi
According to the Guide, All the above features requires custom UI element build by developers to represent them within the application. These features have no direct UI components.
